Structured Swimming From the Start

At First Swim School, we believe swimming is a life-saving skill that needed to be learned yesterday. Therefore, our swim method takes a no-nonsense approach to teaching. This is the quickest and most effective way to get your swimmer safe and happy in the pool. All of our students truly do swim in their first lesson. We do not waste time sitting on the steps, talking about the water, or blowing bubbles. Each student is holding their breath underwater and kicking from the very beginning. We teach each swimmer to get to a safe place in the pool, whether that be an instructor, step, edge, or float. We take pride in customizing each lesson for each individual swimmer's needs and skill level. The goal of our lessons is to create a safe, confident, and happy swimmer.

Swim to Float

Swim-Float-Swim teaches toddlers and children a sequence of rotation between floating and swimming until the child can reach a safety point. Our swimmers will roll to float in order to keep the swimmer horizontal in the water.

Horizontal Swimming

Kids walk around all day and when they get in the pool, they want to do the same. However, it is difficult for swimmers to get anywhere in the pool while vertical. We focus on keeping our swimmers horizontal in the water in order to quickly propel themselves to safety.
