Swim Lessons
$45.00
Most children require 8-10 lessons to be safe in the water
A minimum of 8 lessons must be booked for first-time students. All 8 lessons should be booked with the same instructor. If your child has special needs, you will need to book lessons with Mrs. Nicole.
If you have multiple children, we suggest booking their lessons back-to-back with the same instructor or booking their lessons at the same time, with separate instructors.
Our professional recommendation for scheduling:
- Children between the ages of 1.5 and 2.5 are learning basic water safety skills such as floating, swimming to the wall, grabbing the wall, climbing out of the pool, swimming to a step, and standing up on the step. I recommend 8 to 10 lessons for these swimmers. These swimmers do well with a schedule of 2 to 3 lessons per week for the duration of their lessons.
- Children between the ages of 2.5 and 4 need extra time to build their confidence, especially when it comes to rolling over for a breath. I recommend 10 to 12 lessons for these swimmers. These swimmers do well with a schedule of 2 to 3 lessons per week for the duration of their lessons.
- Children over the age of 4 generally learn faster and may only need 8 lessons to learn these life-saving skills. We begin teaching strokes after the swimmers are safely rolling over to take a breath. These swimmers do well with a schedule of 2 to 4 lessons per week for the duration of their lessons.
- Reminder: We do invite a parent to join us for about 15 minutes during the last lesson so we can teach you how to continue working with your child for the rest of the summer.
